How can I block an entire area code?

Hi! When I tried to do this, it blocks my contacts from that area code as well, even though I checked the box to skip contacts. I checked phone permissions and all requested permissions have been granted. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hi @amber365,
In the app, enable Ignore Contacts.
After that, calls from contacts will not be checked by the app and will not be blocked.

I have set up a block for area code 771 exchange 244 (as +1771244*)
This is because I keep getting political gibberish-spam from that area code and exchange, from different numbers.
However, the block is not working. I do have wildcards enabled.
I'm wondering if these calls are masking their number and the calls are not really from that area code or exchange.
Maybe that is why they are not getting blocked? Do you know if this is a possibility?

Please send me a screenshot from the Recent Calls tab and a screenshot from the blacklist settings. I will try to find the error and understand what is not working correctly.

Hi all,
for me the problem is the same as @amber365. Enableling "Ignore Contacts" make no difference, call from a contact number is blocked.
I have 2 phones : one is with a +33 number and the other with +49 number. A contact with my name and all phone numbers (gsm + fixes) etc. is present in both phones.
For test purpose in the +33 phone I blacklisted +49* and "Ignore Contacts" is enable. A call from the +49 -> +33 is blocked in this configuration.

Hi @franck,

Local blacklist and whitelist are prioritized higher than contacts. Therefore, any number that is blacklisted will be blocked.

Please describe the configuration you want to apply in the app. And I will try to help you to create it.

@admin,
Thx for your prompt answer.
Okay it's clear that if local black and white list are prioritized the result is what I described. For me and maybe for many other users the "ignore or skip contacts" option make sense to give priority to contacts. So this option remains unclear without documentation.

@franck,

As far as I know, the function of setting check priorities is on the developers' todo list. Implementation of such functionality is planned closer to the middle of this year.

I hope it will make your experience with our app better :)
