• We’re seeing performance issues in the latest app version on some phone models. In certain cases, this may cause missed calls and reduce blocking quality. Our team is already working on a fix. If you have any helpful information about this issue, please email us at info@callfilter.app

Country prefix default

Hi. When I get calls that show caller id without a country prefix eg 600 123 1234 the app automatically adds a +1 prefix when showing on the call list and (I assume) when filtering?

As I am located in Chile (+56) this is inconvenient. Can you change this behavior to use the users home country prefix (should be good for 90% of use cases) or allow user to define the default in settings?

Thanks

Hello! Yes, I think this can be fixed fairly easily. Could you please tell me which country code is shown to the right of the app version at the very bottom of Settings?

The country code is CL

Hi jbjb,

Thanks — CL is correct.

Could you also tell me your Callfilter.app version? I’m trying to reproduce this on my side, but with country code CL it works correctly.

Also, please send 2–3 example numbers exactly as they appear in your call log.

Hi @jbjb

Got it, thanks! I was able to reproduce this and the bug is fixed. The app will no longer add “+1” to numbers that come without a country prefix, and those numbers will now be formatted nicely in the Calls list.

Could you please join the open beta on Google Play (instructions below)? I will publish beta version 1.33.7 shortly. Once it’s available, please update to 1.33.7 and confirm that the issue is fully resolved.

How to join the open beta on Google Play

1) Open Google Play Store.
2) Find “Callfilter.app” and open the app page (the same page where you install/update).
3) Scroll down to the “Join the beta” section.
4) Tap “Join” and confirm.
5) Wait a few minutes (sometimes up to 10–15 min), then go back to the app page and tap “Update”.

If you don’t see the “Join the beta” section:
- Make sure you’re signed in to Google Play with the account you use on the phone.
- Try again a bit later, or clear Google Play Store cache and reopen it.
